In 1968, Rimersburg businessman, Ralph M. Eccles, helped establish a library in Rimersburg as his way of presenting a gift to the communities that supported his many businesses over the year. One year later, the Eccles-Lesher Memorial Library joined the state wide system of public libraries. The library is part of the Oil Creek Library District, which is composed of 14 public libraries in Clarion, Jefferson, and Venango Counties. It is also part of the Clarion County Library System composed of five libraries in Clarion County.
